General Rental Terms
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1.1. All prices are inclusive of TVA.
1.2 Payments made online is for the full value of the equipment rental.
2. CANCELLATION BY CLIENT
2.1 All cancellations can only be done by the group leader.
2.2 Upon receiving a cancellation, we cannot guarantee equipment will be available should the client wish to re-book.
2.3 Cancellations made up to seven days before the booking date will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made after this date will not receive a refund.
2.4 Amendments can be made up to seven days prior to the booking at no extra charge. Zero G cannot guarantee to fulfill any amendments made after this date.
2.5 A full refund will be offered for cancellation made before seven days of the commencement of the rental period.
2.6 Refunds will not be given for equipment which is returned before the end of the pre-arranged rental period.
3. CANCELLATION BY ZERO G **
3.1 Should in the unlikely event Zero G need to cancel your equipment hire, a full refund will be offered. Zero G cannot refund any accommodation, travel or expenses due to cancellation of rental equipment.
**4. HEALTH, FITNESS, WEATHER AND EQUIPMENT
4.1 Clients should be aware that winter sports are physically demanding and require a certain level of health and fitness. You undertake this at your own risk. Each client should satisfy him/herself that he/she is sufficiently fit, and in possession of the appropriate clothes and safety equipment.
4.2 Winter sports undertaken in the mountains are inherently dangerous due to acts of nature such as avalanches, glacial features, extreme weather conditions, exposure and altitude. Clients should be aware and accept full responsibility for their actions whilst in this environment.
5.1 Zero G is fully insured for Public Liability. It is recommended that all participants are covered by travel and personal insurance; normally these policies cover cancellation, personal accident and personal liability.
6. LOSS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT
6.1 Loss of Equipment - You are responsible for the equipment we rent to you and are obliged to take every step to ensure the equipment is not misplaced or stolen. This includes taking measures such as locking the gear up at lunch or après ski. We do not provide insurance for the equipment so you should ensure you have travel insurance that covers hire equipment. We will provide a receipt for your hire, but you will need to go to the police to report the crime. We individually mark each piece of equipment – please ensure the same gear is returned to us at the end of your rental.
6.2 Damage of Equipment - The equipment is all verified prior to the beginning of the rental. You are responsible for letting us know of any damage prior to accepting the equipment. We accept that general wear and tear will take place but reserve the right to charge you for breakage or damage caused by unusual impact or neglect.
7.1 We accept payment online via one of our payment portals, or instore by card or cash. Payment will be taken when you order online, or when you return your rental equipment. Payment is always taken in Euros.
8. SAFETY EQUIPMENT
8.1 We take every opportunity to check equipment prior to rental. For transceivers, it’s essential you check it is working with a check station or another transceiver prior to use. Batteries are not provided. Shovels and probes should also be verified before leaving the shop on pickup.
9.1 If you pickup the previous day after 1600hr and return before 1000hr the following day, we don't charge extra days.
9.2 Opening hours are 0900-1230 and 1530-1900
9.3 If you're reserving within 24hrs of collection, expect a short wait when you collect your gear...but we'll do our best.
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you place an order, subscribe to our newsletter or fill out a form.
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. Of course, you can visit our site anonymously. But we'll need that info to get you your stuff.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you - including, but not limited to your name, location, browser language, IP address or email address may be used in any of the following ways:
- To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
- To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to customer service requests - for example, using your name or order number to pull up the tracking info to help you track a parcel)
- To process transactions via our payment gateway. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
- To send quarterly emails, providing you have opted in. The email address you provide for order processing, will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, we never spam you.
Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.
Firstly, and most importantly, we use SSL, which is a secure server. Any information you supply us is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers' database. It's only accessible by those providers, who are of course required to keep the information confidential. We don't keep this credit card number.
If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. Like most websites, if you turn your cookies off, some of our services may not function properly. However, you can still place orders over the telephone or by contacting our customer service.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not and will never sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
Apps we use in data processing
We use a couple of third-party apps to help us process data. The first is Ginkoia, which is our till software. The second is Mailchimp, which manages our email list and signups. We use Stripe for some of the online payment processing. We also use Visiocontrol cameras in the shop for security. Occasionally, we add applications to our website to help us give you better service; we'll list those here. We decided to use these tools because they're responsible companies and all GDPR-compliant, of course. For transparency, you can refer to their individual T&Cs.
The main purpose of consent is to freely offer individuals genuine choice and put him/her in control of his/her personal data processing. You can contact us at any time to review the data we hold on you, or request we delete it. We will never spam you, and we will never, ever sell your data.
